PWR Racing Team is a Strategic Science Club of Wrocław University of Science and Technology, as well as the oldest and most titled Formula Student racing team in Poland since 2009.
The RT15e is our fourth electric car with autonomous driving systems. In this year's project, we made a number of significant design improvements. One of the key changes was the redesign of the high-voltage battery - we decided to increase the nominal voltage from 540 volts to 600 volts, which allowed us to significantly improve the performance of the drivetrain. We also developed a new monocoque - the support structure of the race car - completely from scratch. Another area of modernization was ergonomics design - we changed the angle and position of the driver's seat, which translated into better comfort and control while driving. With the RT15e, we took part in four editions of the prestigious Formula Student Competition, which were held at AVL ZalaZONE, TT Circuit Assen, Red Bull Ring and Autodrom Most. During the first edition of the competition – Formula Student Easter – we achieved great success, taking 1st place overall.

The Formula Student competition not only tests the performance of the car but also engineering knowledge and management skills. Participants are divided into classes depending on the type of car - electric (EV) or combustion (CV). In some editions, there is also the possibility to compete in the optional autonomous category (DV). The competition consists of several scored events, which are divided into static and dynamic. The team with the highest number of points out of a thousand possible is declared the winner of their class. The scoring method varies slightly between editions.
Young, ambitious, committed, and brave. These words describe the students of Wrocław University of Science and Technology, especially the members of the PWR Racing Team. Our team has a structure like a serious company. At its head is the team leader. The greatest responsibility rests on them. Directly reporting to them is the technical leader, who in turn oversees the leaders of individual departments, except for marketing and bussiness, whose heads are subordinate to the team leader. For the rest of the members, the leader of their department is their supervisor.

In international competitions
Students from Wrocław University of Science and Technology are among the most talented in Poland, driven by an exceptional passion for knowledge and innovation. To support the ambitions of aspiring engineers and managers, the PWR Racing Team was established in 2009. Every season, we design and build a new racing car, constantly raising the bar. Over the years, we’ve created 15 unique car models, each outperforming its predecessor. In 2022, we reached a new milestone with the development of our first electric car equipped with autonomous driving systems – the RT12e. Today, we are hard at work on our sixteenth car, combining cutting-edge technology with relentless determination. In the 2016/2017 season, we made history as the first Polish team to win the prestigious Formula Student Italy competition, showcasing what Polish ingenuity can achieve. Since then, we’ve consistently ranked among the best teams globally, holding the title of Poland’s number one and achieving an impressive 6th place in the world rankings in 2024.
Cooperation with Movella
The various solutions implemented in our design are put to the test during testing - this is when we collect key data, analyse performance, and prepare drivers for dynamic competitions held at competitions. In all these aspects, the Xsens MTI-680G sensors, supplied to us by Xsens Automation & Mobility - Movella, play a key role.

In each season, we create a new racing car. We have as many as twelve unique models of combustion cars, each of which can easily outperform the previous one. Last season, the first electric car with autonomous driving systems in the history of the Team – RT12e – was created. We are currently working on our fourteenth construction.
