PWR Racing Team is a Strategic Science Club of Wrocław University of Science and Technology, as well as the oldest and most titled Formula Student racing team in Poland since 2009.
The RT14e is our third electric car with many challenges and successes. The project was focused on reducing the weight of the structure. The vehicle is equipped with a new drive system, with engines that reach 20 thousand revolutions per minute. In addition, a battery was used, which despite the same weight and volume had more total energy thanks to the use of new cells. With RT14e we went to as many as 5 editions of Formula Student competition, but the Polish edition at the Autodrom Stromczyn turned out to be the most groundbreaking. For the first time in the category of electric cars we managed to complete Endurance, and were placed in the third position. As many as in three of the other events we took 1st place, including two dynamic competitions. Thanks to the involvement of the whole Team, we ended the FS Poland competition in second position in the General Classification.

The Formula Student competition not only tests the performance of the car but also engineering knowledge and management skills. Participants are divided into classes depending on the type of car - electric (EV) or combustion (CV). In some editions, there is also the possibility to compete in the optional autonomous category (DV). The competition consists of several scored events, which are divided into static and dynamic. The team with the highest number of points out of a thousand possible is declared the winner of their class. The scoring method varies slightly between editions.
Young, ambitious, committed, and brave. These words describe the students of Wrocław University of Science and Technology, especially the members of the PWR Racing Team. Our team has a structure like a serious company. At its head is the team leader. The greatest responsibility rests on them. Directly reporting to them is the technical leader, who in turn oversees the leaders of individual departments, except for marketing and bussiness, whose heads are subordinate to the team leader. For the rest of the members, the leader of their department is their supervisor.

In international competitions
Students from Wrocław University of Science and Technology are among the most talented in Poland, driven by an exceptional passion for knowledge and innovation. To support the ambitions of aspiring engineers and managers, the PWR Racing Team was established in 2009. Every season, we design and build a new racing car, constantly raising the bar. Over the years, we’ve created 15 unique car models, each outperforming its predecessor. In 2022, we reached a new milestone with the development of our first electric car equipped with autonomous driving systems – the RT12e. Today, we are hard at work on our sixteenth car, combining cutting-edge technology with relentless determination. In the 2016/2017 season, we made history as the first Polish team to win the prestigious Formula Student Italy competition, showcasing what Polish ingenuity can achieve. Since then, we’ve consistently ranked among the best teams globally, holding the title of Poland’s number one and achieving an impressive 6th place in the world rankings in 2024.

In each season, we create a new racing car. We have as many as twelve unique models of combustion cars, each of which can easily outperform the previous one. Last season, the first electric car with autonomous driving systems in the history of the Team – RT12e – was created. We are currently working on our fourteenth construction.
