Students at the Wroclaw University of Technology have always been among the most talented in all of Poland, and consequently their desire to gain knowledge and experience is above average. In order to meet the needs of young constructors and managers, the PWR Racing Team was established in 2009.
Every season we create a new race car. On our account we have as many as twelve unique models of combustion cars, each successive one being able to easily beat the previous one. Last season saw the creation of the team’s first-ever electric car with autonomous driving systems – the RT12e. We are currently engaged in building our fourtheenth design. Already in the 2016/2017 season, we showed what the Poles can do. We were the first Polish team to win the entire edition of the Formula Student Italy competition. Since then, we have remained among the best teams in the world ranking and are ranked first in Poland and 11th in the world for the 2021 season.
The RT12e race car is a groundbreaking project.
The latest project is the team’s response to the challenges and trends of the automotive industry. We want to design modern solutions and be part of the change taking place. The electrification and creation of autonomous systems in the bolide is a milestone in the team’s development.
The vehicle is equipped with innovative solutions from the world of motorsport. It is distinguished by a full monocoque, weighing just 24 kilograms, proprietary motors and a high and low voltage electrical harness. The autonomous driving system allows us to compete not only in the electric category, but also in the driverless category.
POWER OF MOTORS
TOGETHER WE CAN DO EVERYTHING
Young, ambitious, committed, brave. These words describe students of the Wrocław University of Technology, in particular members of the PWR Racing Team.
Our team has a structure like a proper company. It is headed by a team leader. He has the greatest responsibility. He is directly above the technical leader, who is above the leaders of individual departments, excluding marketing, whose boss is subordinate to the team leader. For the rest of the members, the supervisor is the leader of their department.
